Eagle’s Wings Food of the Month:

Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Jelly

Remember…  God has no hands but our hands to do His work today.

The Missions Committee would like to thank all those that donated health kit items during the month of May.  With your generosity, we are happy to announce that a total of 70 health kits were put together and will be delivered to the MERCI Center this month.  In addition to the 70 complete kits, extra donated items will also be sent to the MERCI Center where they will be packed in health kits by MERCI volunteers.

Thanks.

Heather Deck, Chairperson

 Hand-in-Hand

The Hand in Hand Mission Project for the year 2009/2010 came to a close on a beautiful morning, Friday, June 11th.  Several Prayer Partners and the faculty/staff at John Cotten Tayloe School gathered in the “old library” for a continental style breakfast.  It was truly a beautiful morning with good food, fellowship, and a staff that could say “another good year.”  Many thanks go to all of our congregation for their support throughout the school year.  You make Hand in Hand a success!  Special thanks go also to the Prayer Partners present Friday morning and those that contributed to the breakfast; Kay Alligood, Brenda Bernhardt, Tina Bhalla, Ann Cherry, Jane Griffin, Sally Houston, DJ Midgett, Linda Sparboe, Sheila Tanner, Jenean Umphlett, and Ann Warner.  The faculty/staff love you for what you do to make each school year a blessing to all.

PS  If you were not a Prayer Partner or did not have a chance to work with Hand in Hand this past year, please consider joining us for the next school year.  Keep watching for announcements about how you can become a part of this project.
